About the Role: As a Systems Engineer (d/f/m), you will make an impact by ensuring the seamless integration, optimization, and reliability of our technology infrastructure. You will be a valued member of the IT Operations team and work collaboratively with system administrators, network engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver robust solutions that drive business success. In this role, you will: Provide comprehensive desktop support to ensure smooth operations and minimal downtime. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues remotely, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Where required, provide support for the Manufacturing u201cShop-Flooru201d handhelds, laptops, and scanner devices. Collaborate with team members to implement effective solutions and improve system performance. Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues to prevent disruptions. Document and maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions for future reference. Assist in the deployment and configuration of hardware and software to meet user needs. Manage IT Asset lifecycle management for the location/region including, asset collection coordination with vendor, secure storage, labelling, imaging, allocation, recovery, hygiene validation, disposal, and system updates Ensure compliance with company policies and security protocols to protect sensitive data. Conduct regular system audits to identify and address vulnerabilities. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance support capabilities. Communicate effectively with users to understand their needs and provide timely assistance. Participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing projects and share insights. Contribute to the development of best practices and standard operating procedures. Support the IT team in various projects to enhance overall infrastructure efficiency. Based on this roleu2019s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 5 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Hamburg. What You Need to Have to Be Considered: Strong understanding of desktop support and remote troubleshooting techniques with minimum 2 years desk side support services. Proficiency in configuring and maintaining hardware and software systems. Strong understanding of MS Windows Operating Systems, working experience of MS Office and basic business application. Advanced knowledge of MacOS & iOS, MacOS imaging & end-point deployment environment & administration. Good Knowledge and experience in managing Power Shut Down maintenance activities which includes shutting down network devices and servers in Data Center Fluent written and spoken German, language level C1-C2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) Experience in supporting overall manufacturing / lab IT systems and IT devices Knowledge / Understanding of GMP and GxP Knowledge / Experience on working in a Clean Room environment and/or Manufacturing environment Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with users and team members. Proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues. Keen attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and compliance. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. These will help you stand out CompTIA A Certification or equivalent in desktop support.
