Subject to performance, successful interns may be offered a place on the DWS Graduate P.A.Join a global team of around 40 professionals in Liquid Investment Risk and dive into the world of financial risk management with real impact. As an intern, you’ll work on exciting projects like daily risk monitoring, and data analysis using tools like Aladdin Explore—especially if you bring strong programming skills to the table. As our DWS Intern, you will:
Support the investment Risk Management department with daily risk analytics oversight for globally managed funds
Support the Risk Management department in global and local projects
Work closely with investment specialists, analysts and risk colleagues from across the globe (Luxembourg, Berlin, London, Hong Kong, New York, etc.)
Advanced English language skills, German language skills are beneficial but not required
Student in the field of economics, quantitative finance, mathematics, or a related subject
Good knowledge of the financial markets, asset management or risk management are considered an advantage
Familiarity with financial instruments (e.g. equity, fixed income, financial derivatives, etc.)
Experience with software programs (e.g. SQL, Python, VBA)
Excellent Microsoft Office skills
Advanced English language skills; German language skills are beneficial but not required
Currently studying for a bachelor's or master's degree and in your penultimate or final year of study, OR on a gap year between your bachelor's and masters degree
Less than 12 months of full-time relevant work experience (excluding internships)
Availability for a full-time 6 month internship; Risk Management Internships in Germany are exactly 6 months long. Spring: 1st February or 16th February 2026 for 6 months
