Our department develops top-notch, high-fidelity engineering and training simulations for a variety of aircrafts, supporting the entire development lifecycle.
We are looking for an experienced experienced
Senior Simulation System Engineer (d/f/m)
in context of Eurofighter training simulation.
It this role, you will architect a full-spectrum solution for an high-fidelity training system. This includes flight dynamics and avionic models, cockpits, visual systems, control stations, a synthetic environment, etc.
You’ll collaborate with other system engineers and lead architects, cross-functional engineering teams and stakeholders with military background to deliver a world-class training device for the Eurofighter.

Your tasks and responsibilities
* Gather system needs, define architecture and derive subsystem requirements and acceptance criteria.
* Define and architect the software foundation for simulators.
* Prepare and conduct design reviews with internal and external customers.
* Support validation, verification, acceptance and certification activities.
* Provide architectural guidance during entire project lifecycle.
* Collaborate with cross-functional and other project specific teams and experts to define the common simulator architecture.
* Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in system engineering.
* Conduct trade-off studies and evaluate optimizations, new technologies & tools.
Desired skills and qualifications
* Bachelor or higher degree in systems engineering, aerospace engineering, computer science, or relevant field. Master’s degree preferred.
* 10+ years’ experience in system architecture, focus on military flight training devices preferred.
* Demonstrated experience across entire system engineering lifecycle for complex systems.
* Strong proficiency with requirement management and system modelling tools (e.g. Cameo, Enterprise Architect).
* Expertise in simulation- and military avionic standards and frameworks.
* Strong foundation in software architecture frameworks (e.g. service-oriented architecture, microservices, layered architecture), and software architecture principles including modularity, scalability, and maintainability.
* Familiarity with modern software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps pipelines, containerization).
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor junior engineers and to efficiently collaborate with customers and within cross-functional teams.
* Being pragmatic and passionate about simulation.
This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
