This position focuses on creating high-performance digital IP for advanced networking and
communication systems. The work spans from interpreting standards and technical requirements to
delivering clean, production-ready RTL. The role involves collaboration across design,
verification, backend, and mixed-signal groups, with an emphasis on precision, quality, and
predictable delivery.
Responsibilities:
• Break down technical standards and product requirements into clear microarchitecture and design
specifications.
• Design, implement, and maintain digital IP at the RTL level, taking ownership of assigned blocks
throughout their lifecycle.
• Provide support from initial design through verification, synthesis, tape-out, and early silicon
bring-up.
• Investigate and resolve design issues in partnership with verification engineers.
• Contribute to technical documentation used both internally and by external customers.
• Coordinate with architecture, verification, backend, and firmware teams to ensure smooth
integration and alignment.
• Participate in release planning and cross-functional reviews to help achieve on-time project
milestones.
Requirements:
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, IT, or similar, with a focus on
hardware or digital design.
• 5+ years experience in digital design, including relevant internships or industry
projects.
• Strong RTL design background; SystemVerilog experience preferred.
• Experience using digital simulators such as Cadence Xcelium or equivalent.
• Understanding of timing constraints, synthesis concepts, or STA is an advantage.
• Exposure to functional verification (UVM), SystemVerilog assertions, or similar methodologies is
beneficial.
• Familiarity with data-communication concepts (e.g., encoding schemes, retries, CRC, FEC) or
protocols like PCIe, UCIe, Ethernet, AMBA AXI/CHI is a plus.
• Scripting experience (e.g., Python) for automation or tooling improvements is helpful.
• Practical mindset, strong analytical ability, and a structured approach to problem
solving.
• Strong English communication skills; German is an added benefit.
