We’re looking for an Assistant Director of Sales to take the lead on our commercial strategy and position our conference hotel located 25-Minutes from Frankfurt Airport as the destinations of choice within the local and regional market. Situated in a B-Destination, the destination selling is key. What You’ll Be Doing?
As Assistant Director of Sales, you will be responsible for working closely with the Director of Sales and Management Team creating, influencing, and executing strategies that fuel revenue growth across rooms, events, and F&B outlets, as well as a strong cooperation with the conference center. An Assistant Director of Sales will be responsible to drive business needs, increase visibility of the hotel to grow market share and proactively expand new business opportunities as well as nurture existing business relationships.
You’ll take ownership of delivering outstanding results through responsibilities such as:
Driving Commercial Strategy
* Shape and manage the hotel’s sales strategy across rooms, events, and outlets, ensuring alignment with business goals.
* Monitor performance, identify opportunity gaps, and lead targeted actions to maximise growth across all sales influenced segments and increase fair market share .
* Collaborate closely with the Management Team to strengthen underperforming areas and accelerate high‑potential revenue streams.
* Identify and drive focused activities on elements of the business that require additional support and/or show opportunities .
Leading Sales Execution
* Prepare and manage contracts in line with current pricing, demand, and market conditions.
* Work with the Groups & Events team to oversee offers, repeat business, and client negotiations .
* Develop strong, productive relationships with key accounts, partners, and prospective clients.
* Build strong, comprehensive sales plan, execute and monitor throughout the year in alignment with market and economic developments .
* Organize, attend, and represent the company at trade shows, familiarization (FAM) trips, and customer events, ensuring effective networking, brand representation, and the development of new and existing client relationships.
Building a High‑Performing Team
* Inspire, coach, and grow your Sales Team in cooperation with the Director of Sales through clear leadership and hands‑on guidance.
* Lead by example, fostering a culture of accountability, proactiveness, hospitality, and commercial excellence.
Revenue, Reporting & Forecasting
* Collaborate with the Revenue Department on accurate forecasting, ensuring timely and meaningful data as well as understanding and analyzing revenue-based reports.
* Prepare departmental reporting in support to DOS — including monthly forecasts, lead management, bookings, and performance analyses .
* Capability to present proactive sales performance, strategy, and results to senior stakeholders and management team.
Collaboration & Hotel-Wide Impact
* Work cross‑functionally with Operations, Reservations, Finance, and other teams to deliver seamless guest experiences.
* Provide market‑driven insights and recommendations for marketing and promotional initiatives.
* Ensure accurate, compelling sales collateral and information is available across all channels.
