Compliance Manager
Location: Frankfurt
Our client, a leading international financial institution, is looking for a Compliance Manager to support its regulated European business based in Frankfurt. As part of the second line of defence, you will play a key role in maintaining regulatory compliance, acting as Deputy Compliance Officer, and supporting senior management in meeting both German and EU regulatory standards.
Your Responsibilities:
* Support the Compliance Officer in overseeing the compliance framework and advising the Management Board.
* Ensure compliance with MaRisk AT 4.4.2, MaComp, and other applicable conduct and prudential regulations such as WpHG.
* Develop and implement internal policies, procedures, and control systems.
* Monitor regulatory changes and advise on implications for business operations.
* Conduct compliance monitoring and testing and prepare reports for management and regulators.
* Coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries, audits, and investigations.
* Oversee complaints handling and leverage findings for ongoing monitoring.
* Deliver compliance training and raise awareness across the business.
Your Profile:
* At least 3 years of experience in a compliance or legal role within financial services.
* Strong understanding of German and EU regulatory frameworks (MaRisk, MaComp, KWG, etc.).
* Fluent in German and English, with excellent communication and advisory skills.
* High integrity, sound judgment, and ability to work independently.
* Well-organised with strong time and stress management skills.
