Jacobi is a well-funded Silicon Valley startup revolutionizing robotics. Backed by leading roboticists from UC Berkeley, CMU, and KIT, we’re building next-generation software building blocks that drastically accelerate robot arm deployment—achieving up to 20x faster implementation in production environments. We're looking for a Robotics Perception Engineer to join our on-site team in Hamburg. In this role, you’ll develop the perception and computer vision systems that enable real-time, intelligent robotic manipulation in unstructured environments. What You’ll Do Design and implement real-time perception algorithms for robotic tasks like object detection, pose estimation, and segmentation. Develop 3D vision pipelines using depth and stereo cameras. Integrate perception systems with motion planning for closed-loop robotic manipulation. Test and validate your solutions in both simulated and physical environments. What We’re Looking For Strong debugging skills and a high attention to detail. Proactive and independent problem-solver. Proficient in Python and Linux. Experience with deep learning for robotic perception. Hands-on experience with RGB-D cameras (e.g., RealSense, ZED, PhotoNeo). Strong computer networking knowledge. Effective communicator and team player.
