I am looking for an Assistant General Manager who is not afraid to lead from the front and by example.

Position Summary:
1. Senior business leader supporting the General Manager (GM) in upholding all brand standards and core values
2. Accountable for asset management of the entire facility
3. Works alongside the GM to identify and act on opportunities and challenges with an entrepreneurial mindset to maximize business potential
Key Responsibilities:
4. Demonstrate financial understanding to achieve key performance metrics
5. Collaborate closely with Sales to implement the Sales & Marketing plan and drive year-over-year entrée count growth
6. Mentor and coach junior management staff on business financial goals
7. Partner with the GM to communicate clear operational direction, based on thorough understanding of the café’s strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities
8. Support all departments to ensure consistent execution of systems, processes, and delivery of products and services to brand standards
9. Assist the GM in building and maintaining a high-functioning team aligned with the café’s vision and values
10. Lead and champion change management, ensuring successful implementation of local and company initiatives
11. Foster a customer-first culture where all team members prioritize guest satisfaction
12. Execute guest satisfaction standards to meet or exceed brand expectations
13. Respond collaboratively with the GM to guest feedback from all channels, including social media and email
14. Support hiring, retention, and placement of highly talented team members to maximize business impact
15. Define clear goals and performance expectations for all management and hourly team members; conduct performance reviews and hold staff accountable
16. Promote staff development and career advancement via well-defined career paths
17. Act as a Learning Coach to develop, implement, and execute learning and development programs that drive continuous improvement and retention
Qualifications:
Experience & Education
18. Proven experience in hospitality, particularly in restaurant frontline operations
19. Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, HRM, Culinary Arts, or related field preferred

20. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, demonstrable by peers and previous supervisors
21. Consultative approach with ability to work cross-functionally
22. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
23. Strong problem-solving ability, capable of diagnosing issues and recommending solutions
24. Demonstrated potential and ambition to advance to General Manager roles
