Together, we’re developing and enhancing our web platform - serving over 600.000 clients and managing more than €40 billion in assets. You’ll also play a key role in our engineering leadership team, helping to shape our long-term strategy for mobile and web technologies. About The Role This is a people leadership role where your primary responsibility is to develop, support, and guide a squad of software engineers. You will foster a strong team culture, drive agile delivery, and help your engineers grow while ensuring your squad delivers high-quality solutions for our digital platforms. While you bring solid technical experience, hands-on development will be limited—your focus is coaching, delivery leadership, and team effectiveness. You are an empathetic people leader who enjoys empowering others and building strong engineering teams. You communicate clearly, inspire trust, and combine leadership skills with a solid technical foundation. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop a squad of engineers, including performance management and career growth Create a positive, collaborative team culture and drive continuous improvement Oversee agile delivery, sprint planning, and coordination of releases Align with product, UX, and business stakeholders to remove blockers and ensure smooth delivery Provide technical guidance, review solution approaches, and support architecture decisions (occasional hands-on work) Manage vendors and ensure consistency with engineering standards and best practices You’ll succeed in this role if you have: Experience leading or managing software engineering teams in an agile environment Strong mentoring, coaching, and stakeholder management skills Hands-on experience as a full-stack engineer (ideally with Java EE-based applications), APIs, and modern engineering practices Understanding of microservices and cloud technologies (AWS is a plus) Fluency in German language (Native or C1/C2) and English Feel Rewarded For starters, we’ll offer you a comprehensive benefits package.
