In order to manage current and future projects, Airbus Helicopters is looking for you to join the team in Donauwörth as soon as possible as our new
EWIS Electrical Architect (d/f/m)
This role is also available with reduced weekly hours (30) and an adapted scope of tasks.
Your location
At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

Your tasks and responsibilities
* Developing EWIS design rules as input for the harness designers for High Voltage and Low Voltage systems
* Performing of own fonctionnal electrical integration/ cable routing studies in CAD
* Defining all electrical systems (HV, LV, avionics, equipment s etc) integration design rules in close collaboration with the vehicle integration
* Performing and defining testing of crucial hardware such as cables, connectors etc
* Defining ad-hoc development assurance level with regard to development risk
* Designing and Defining EWIS architecture considering the functions to fulfill and requirements (constraints)
* Performing trade-off analysis in order to select the best EWIS architecture fulfilling System/product requirements
* Accomplishing development activities in a team which implies multiple functions, links and interfaces, and apply and develop new technologies
* Performing and defining testing of crucial hardware/component developments such as cables, connectors etc based on project management s requirements in coordination with the technical departments involved
Desired skills and qualifications
* Completed studies (Bachelor with additional qualification or Master) in the field of aerospace engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable course of study
* Alternatively: three-year completed vocational training with qualified further training as a technician and related extended experience
* Several years of experience in engineering, in the field of electrical architecture
* EWIS knowledge, especially for high voltage (800V) power systems
* Experience in the design of helicopter construction documents and their requirements
* Experience with ESN (Electrical Structure Network)
* Language skills: English - business fluent
