Responsibilities:
1. Lead a team focused on product pre-development and optimization of existing products (including personnel responsibility, project and capacity coordination and planning)
2. Develop and patent new products in close collaboration with customers
3. Work on interdisciplinary projects involving product, process, and material development as well as project management
4. Apply modern methods such as APQP, FMEA, FEM, and lean methodologies
5. Collaborate with universities, research institutions, and external partners
6. Contribute to and implement strategic goals in product development
Qualifications:
7. Successfully completed degree in engineering (mechanical engineering, mechatronics, mechanics, or a comparable field)
8. At least 5 years of experience in research, development, and design, ideally in the automotive industry
9. Leadership experience in technical teams or projects
10. Experience managing projects from inquiry to series production or during ongoing production
11. Strong knowledge of materials for products and processes, particularly in elastomers is desirable
12. Good understanding of elastomer processing, forming techniques, and machinery
13. Excellent German and English language skills
14. Analytical thinking, structured working style, and confident demeanor
15. Team player with assertiveness and persuasive skills
16. High resilience and sense of responsibility
17. Willingness to travel (domestic and international)
