I am currently representing a globally established industrial company with over 200 years of history. They are transitioning their operations in Germany and are now looking for a Senior HSSE Specialist to take responsibility for safety standards across their Dortmund site and support other locations.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving EHS standards, ensuring compliance with ISO regulations, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across multiple sites. You will work closely with international teams and play a key role in shaping safety culture during a period of operational change.
The successful candidate will come from an industrial or manufacturing background, with strong knowledge of EHS regulations and fluency in German and English. You will benefit from a structured 90-day onboarding plan, internal training programmes, and potential progression into a German EHS Manager position.

The Role:
1. Maintain and improve EHS and ISO standards across the Dortmund site
2. Support additional sites with compliance and safety initiatives
3. Conduct risk assessments, investigations, and audits
4. Deliver training and continuous improvement programmes
5. Collaborate with international EHS teams
The Candidate:
6. Experience in an EHS/HSSE role within industrial or manufacturing environments
7. Qualifications such as SIFA, NEBOSH, or a degree in Safety (or similar)
8. Fluent in German and English
9. Desirable: Chemical industry experience
10. Willing to travel weekly and across sites when required
