We are currently looking for a Senior DevOps / Cloud Engineer to strengthen the Cronos Europa team. This is an on-site contract. Responsabilities: Cloud Platforms: Contributing to cloud platform reliability and resilience Modernizing existing applications while ensuring service continuity - legacy systems hosted in data centres as well as systems hosted in AWS, Azure and other Cloud providers. Designing solutions on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, as well as vendor-agnostic solutions. Experience with monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Splunk ELK Stack, or OpenTelemetry for integration health and performance monitoring. Architectural Design and Integration: Designing software architecture and integration strategies. Designing system integrations and ensuring seamless connectivity across platforms. Using middleware solutions for system integration. Implementing common integration patterns and best practices (e.g., publish-subscribe, request-reply, event-driven architecture). Experience in containerizing applications (e.g. Docker), ideally with solutions compatible with cloud-agnostic environments. Experience with interoperability standards (Swagger/OpenAPI) Experience with securing applications under security standards (OWASP) and using secrets management tools. Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Automation of infrastructure and delivery pipelines Knowledge transfer and adoption of DevOps best practices within client teams. Knowledge transfer and implementation of Infrastructure as Code solutions (Terraform, Bicep, ...). Designing and Integration of CI/CD pipelines with cloud-hosted systems. Following CI/CD practices for automated testing, integration, and deployment. Strategic Planning and Optimization: Designing solutions that optimize performance, scalability, and maintainability. Devising debt resolution and modernization strategies for legacy applications. Projecting mid- and long-term roadmaps, effort estimations. Working with licensing and compliance aspects and constraints of integrated components and dependencies. Experience of Agile/Scrum and DevSecOps environments. API Design: Designing standardized APIs for enabling data exchange and interoperability Developing web APIs (e.g. REST, GraphQL, OpenAPI) Designing API and integration versioning strategies. Integrating distributed event systems for asynchronous contexts. Database Systems and Migration Strategies: Working with database systems (Oracle PostgreSQL) and crafting migration paths. Working with SQL and database management tools. Documenting and Communication: Document architecture and integration plans clearly and effectively. Communication and collaboration with teams and explain complex concepts Technical skills: English C1 French B2 Methodologies Agile/Scrum, DevSecOps / DevOps System Design and Integration APIs & Development (RESTful, OpenAI or similar) Middleware & Messenging (Kafka / Azure Service Bus) Security and Credential Management (OWASP) Databases and Data Formats (PostgreSQL, Oracle, migration) Containerization (Docker) CI/CD (GIT, GitLab) Cloud Platforms & Monitoring (AWS, Azure or GCP, SaaS and CaaS, Splunk ELK Stack or OpenTelemetry) Documentation and Communication Profile: Bachelor's degree or equivalent 8 years of professionnel experience in relevant IT field Certifications At least one Microsoft Azure certification at Expert level Microsoft Certified: Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions - demonstrates advanced DevOps architecture, automation, and governance skills AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (or equivalent hyperscaler certification) - validates cross-cloud architectural literacy and vendor neutral understanding of cloud fundamentals Why Cronos Group?
