As Head of Operations (m/f/d) at Sentronics Metrology (a Nova Company) in Mannheim, you will take on a key role in driving all core operational activities - from manufacturing and supply chain to planning, quality, and logistics. Your mission is to ensure that our high-precision metrology systems are built and delivered reliably, efficiently, and at scale.
You will lead and develop a strong operations team, establish smart processes, and collaborate closely with Engineering, Service, and Commercial teams. As part of the senior leadership group, you will help shape our operational strategy and guide our company into its next phase of growth.

* Leading the Operations team to ensure on-time delivery, strong margins, high OBQ, and complete order fulfillment
* Developing an effective Operations organization through hiring, coaching, and building a focused, collaborative culture
* Designing manufacturing and outsourcing strategies, including selecting and managing contract manufacturers and key suppliers
* Improving operational performance by implementing efficient processes, key metrics, and continuous improvement (CIP)
* Collaborating with Engineering, Service, Supply Chain, and Logistics on customer support strategy, PM kits, spare-parts availability, ECR/ECO, and field escalations
* Contributing to BU direction and Operations/Engineering roadmap execution as part of the senior management team
Requirements
* Strong academic background with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in manufacturing operations, industrial engineering, or a related field; MBA/executive studies are an advantage
* Minimum of 8 years of senior Operations Management experience in semiconductor metrology or optical/analytical capital equipment, incl. exposure to QMS and customer-specific compliance
* Knowledge of optical engineering is beneficial
* Experienced in building and developing high-performing teams, attracting key talent, and communicating effectively across cross-functional, multicultural environments
* Business‑fluent German and English skills, spoken and written.
* Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to balance strategic vision with hands‑on execution
* Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, global environment with shifting priorities
