WHO MAY APPLY?
Current INTERNAL Local National Employees throughout Germany. This covers all current Local National employees of the U.S. Forces in Germany, including U.S. Air Force and AAFES-Europe within Germany.
Hauptaufgaben
Performs supply clerical and storekeeping functions including requesting, receiving, storing, issuing, stock level control and turn-in of special tools, testing equipment, measuring instruments, bench stock and fringe items.
Serves in the shop tool and bench stock room responsible for:
-- Maintaining stock record cards for over 1500 bench stock items and a wide variety of standard and special tools used in the organizational maintenance of a variety of tracked and wheeled combat vehicles. Receives, stores, identifies and issues various special tools, testing and measuring instruments, hardware, and other expendable material used by shop personnel. Checks tools upon return for damages, maintenance and further usability. Performs minor maintenance and properly stores returned items.
-- Special tools and equipment: Identifies items requiring calibration through correct use of published automated printouts, prepares associated paperwork and submits items to the responsible TMDE support organization for required calibration actions. In cases wherein high value special tools or instruments become damaged or unusable, prepares and processes request for classification, turn-in and replacement. Separately secures items requiring no calibration.
-- Requisitions and turn-ins for tools and supplies. Requests tools and material to replenish stock and to replace unserviceable items on basis of operational requirements, changes to pertinent supply catalogs. Refers to a variety of technical manuals and supply catalogs to obtain proper stock number, nomenclature, and basic authorization for items requested; assigns or obtains transaction number, posts to register, obtains signature of supervisor, and personally makes turn-ins and pick-up of supplies and the various supply agencies.
Maintains files on supply documents such as work orders, requisitions, turn-in slips, and a library of technical and supply manuals on tools and supplies maintained. Searches files for requested information and keeps library up-to-date by posting changes, additions, and deletions.
Loads and unloads packages and unpacks items. Stores supplies in a neat, orderly and safe condition including application and removal of protective coatings. Maintains storage areas in clean and orderly appearance and insures storage areas are properly guarded and securely locked after close of business.
Hazardous Waste: Administers and is responsible for the implementation and strict observation of the Hazardous Waste Program within assigned area of responsibility.
Is responsible for the personnel clothing and equipment for the mechanics. Ensures clothing and equipment is serviceable, placed on order, and assigned to each mechanic.
Performs other duties as assigned.

C-4:
E&T Level I: 1 year of creditable experience that included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc.
Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation, must have 2 years of creditable experience that included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc.
E&T Level II and above: No additional experience required.
Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade.
• Applicants must be in possession of a German driver's license class B.
• German driver's license class C desired.
• Applicants must be in possession of a forklift operator license.
• Office automation skills are required.
• GCSS-A (Global Combat Support System - Army) and SAP skills are desired.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVEL:
English Language Proficiency level B2 AND German Language Proficiency level C2 required.

This is a permanent full-time position (38.5 hrs/week).
