To strengthen our capability we are looking for a Construction Project Director who will play a central role role in all aspects of Construction Project delivery.

As our construction projects vary in location, the role will require flexibility in relation to travel throughout Ireland and Western Europe.The role is senior, client-facing, requiring the ability to inspire confidence from the taking of a client brief through proposal preparation and onto construction delivery.

This a hybrid role and the role can be based from our offices in Ireland, Belgium, Germany or Netherlands.


Responsibilities

1. Overall responsibility for assigned Construction Project/s delivery.
2. Assist with strategy and input to the construction aspects of proposals within assigned responsibilities.
3. Ensure that the Company's Health, Safety and Environmental policy is implemented on projects within assigned responsibilities
4. Ensure that project are executed in line with PM Groups Scope of Services, Overall Project Execution Plan and PM Groups / Client Contract.
5. Reports project construction performance to appropriate PM Group Business Units Heads of Construction & Group Construction Services.
6. Establish and maintain effective communication and co-ordination between construction site(s) and home office departments.
7. Establish overall construction execution strategies/plans.
8. For assigned projects, the Construction Director will be the primary local construction contact for customer. Review the project construction performance and PM Groups performance with the Customer.
9. Assure execution of projects are in accordance with the project goals, but especially in areas of safety, quality, cost and schedule to Customer’s satisfaction.
10. Ensure a quality PM Group service is provided and protect PM Group’s commercial interests.
11. Ensure PM Group Procedures and Systems are implemented and CM team are aware and follows these systems.
12. Reviews and approves as required, projects procurement strategies.
13. Reviews and approves client/PM Group contracts and the PM Group / Contractor contracts.
14. As required, responsible for formal communication to client, designers, contractors and others.
15. Contribute to the development of Digital Project Delivery from a construction perspective.
16. For assigned projects, establish PM Group CM teams and assure personnel are assigned as required to fulfil positions on our CM teams.
17. Manages resource plans with regards to mobilisation/demobilisation to ensure assigned projects are adequately resourced and in line with PM Group commercial expectations.
18. Reviews our CM Team performance with the Construction Manager and makes necessary adjustments to teams as required.
19. oversight of Monthly CM project reports and reviews with PM Group Teams as required.
20. Oversight of cost reports and ensures PM commercial performance meets the project objectives.
21. Promote PM Group by demonstrating professionalism and efficiency, establishing credible client and local contact working relationships.
22. Mentor and invest in career development of construction personnel where appropriate.
23. Project the Company's image to clients, public and other third parties by ensuring effective liaison and harmonious relationships.

Qualifications

24. Demonstrated capability in Construction delivery within specialized industrial sectors. (Life Sciences, Food & Mission Critical)
25. Professional Qualification in Engineering or Construction /Project Management desirable.
26. 10+ year’s professional experience.
27. Proven track record in EHS Leadership
28. Excellent knowledge and strong understanding of H&S statutory requirements.
29. Good understanding of contractual models and supply chain capability.
30. Strong verbal and written communication skills
31. Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
32. A demonstrated ability to communicate and influence at management and operation level.
33. Proven Construction Business management track record.
