Spacecraft Mechanical Design Engineer (m/f/d)
Your Tasks
* Development of different satellite concepts and configurations incl. the corresponding subsystem accommodation
* Coordination of the design with the project team/ system engineering
* Creation of corresponding configuration, accommodation and interface drawings
* Coordination of requirements with customers and subcontractors
* Development and design of satellite structures according to the developed accommodation
* Creation of associated manufacturing drawings and assembly instructions
* Creation of documentation such as design and interface descriptions and drawings
* Development of different concepts for mechanical ground support equipment for satellite handling
* Support, monitoring and control of subcontractors and suppliers
* Support of satellite assembly, integration and test
* Presentation of the results internally and to the customer
Your Qualifications
* Degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or a comparable qualification
* Several years of professional experience as a design engineer, preferably in the field of satellite technology
* Knowledge and experience in the use of a 3D CAD system, ideally Siemens NX
* Confident in dealing with customers, subcontractors and suppliers
* Willingness to travel
* Flexibility and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new areas of responsibility
* Fluent in written and spoken German and English language
