Job Description
* Bioinformatic analysis of multi-omics data with focus on single-cell and spatial transcriptomics RNA sequencing data to elucidate the tumor microenvironment and its influence on cancer progression and metastasis in renal cell carcinoma
* Integrating multi-omics data sets (e.g. genomics, metabolomics) of primary tumors and metastasis through innovative bioinformatics analysis applicable to high-dimensional data
* Integrated analysis of clinical phenotypes and -omics data using biostatistics and bioinformatics
* Application of a broad spectrum of established tools and development of new computational solutions with focus on single-cell and spatial transcriptomics RNA seq and data integration
* Enthusiasm to present scientific results at international conferences and writing papers for high-quality publications to ensure greatest possible success in your career track
Qualifications
* Doctoral degree (PhD) in bioinformatics, applied bioinformatics or a related discipline
* Experience and strong background in the analysis of spatial transcriptomics and single-cell RNA sequencing data, as well as multi-omics datasets (e.g. proteomics, transcriptomics, genomics), including data interpretation.
* Strong interest in life science applications with focus on oncology and personalized medicine
* Strong programming skills in R and in Python
* Solid background in cancer biology
* Knowledge in biostatistics would be beneficial
* Excellent English written and oral communication skills, as well as expertise in preparation of scientific manuscripts.
