Your Role
As a Senior Java/C++ Backend Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing high-performance, scalable backend systems for IoT security. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure robust, secure, and efficient solutions.
What You’ll Do
* Design, develop, and optimise backend services for a large-scale cybersecurity platform.
* Implement and maintain high-performance microservices in Java and C++.
* Work with real-time data processing and distributed computing to enhance system efficiency.
* Experience in creating design documents – High Level & Low Level Design Documents
* Configure and manage Ubuntu operating systems, including bare metal server setup and troubleshooting.
* Support technical sales and solution engineering teams in pre-sales and product deployment.
* Collaborate with DevOps and frontend teams to optimise performance and scalability.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments.
* Experience with cloud providers, especially GCP.
What You Bring
* 5+ years of experience in backend development using Java and C++.
* Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and RESTful APIs.
* Expertise in high-performance computing, multithreading, and low-latency systems.
* Hands-on experience with Ubuntu OS configuration and management.
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
* Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Solr, MongoDB, etc.).
* Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
* Experience with modern software engineering practices such as CI/CD, Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), and test-driven development.
* Strong skills in networking (TCP/IP) and cybersecurity concepts are a plus.
* Ability to create High-Level and Low-Level Design Documents.
* Fluent German language skills are mandatory.
