As an Enterprise AI Pre-Sales Technical Specialist, you will work alongside your experienced Lenovo Technical Sales teammates in Germany and Austria to turn client requirements into Enterprise AI solutions. Enterprise AI solutions span across datacenter, to edge, to workstations and workplace. In your pre-sales role, you will design solutions, from selecting the right building blocks, to turning them into configurations, to describing, discussing, and presenting solutions to our clients. In addition, you will help enable our business partners to drive the Enterprise AI business more self-sufficiently. You will work closely with our Enterprise AI business development specialist and our client managers to enable and scale our Enterprise AI business.
You will help our clients deploy Lenovo technology with confidence to achieve real outcomes for their business as well as make AI better for our planet in becoming more energy-efficient and sustainable – using latest Lenovo technology and innovation.
What to expect? or: Your Role & Responsibilities
1. You are responsible for a set of Enterprise AI projects, through the entire technical sales cycle, from initial solution discussion and requirement gathering, to solution design and iteration to final proposal and closing. This includes solution consulting and selection, to technical solution design according to customer and competitive requirements.
2. You work with our business partners in technical enablement workshops, presenting our Enterprise AI solution portfolio and training our partners on key technical skills to choose and size Enterprise AI solutions.
3. You will attend key industry events to represent Lenovo Enterprise AI solutions on stage and/or at the booth. You will also engage with key eco system partners to foster technical relationships and joint solution blueprints.
4. You work closely with the Lenovo sales teams, and business partners to jointly design & bid winning projects. As part of your role, you will see future product & technology roadmaps and work closely also with our developments to address future client and industry requirements.
5. You work closely with the extended Lenovo sales & technical teams client managers, benchmarking experts, developers, and services specialists to achieve common revenue and profit goals.
6. You actively participate in weekly team meetings for best-practice sharing. In addition, you are participating in regular technical community calls to exchange and learn together.
7. You will be working flexibly 3 out of 5 days in our Stuttgart office and up to 2 days in your home office – except when travelling to see clients and attend events. Expect up to 3 days of travel per week within Germany and Austria, while there are also less travel intense periods.
8. In our office you will build your network within Lenovo and learn from our experienced team. During your initial training period our team members will spend dedicated time with you in our office or at client sites to ensure you have a great onboarding and learning experience as well as become integrated into our extended team.
Our team of Lenovo technical sales experts will provide you with training on our solution portfolio, essential tools and processes, and help you develop your skills in technical Enterprise AI solution design. You will be a part of our GAT (Germany, Austria) CTO organization, reporting to the CTO for GAT. You will collaborate with our EMEA and global teams, joining not only the best technical sales team in the world, but also our technical sales family at Lenovo.
What to bring? or: Your Profile
9. Excitement for data center, server and networking technology and motivation to dig deep into the details, but also for acquiring a breadth of technical skills.
10. You have previous technical AI experience during your current role, during studies, or internships) and have deployed AI solutions with hands-on experience. You are familiar with the (ever-changing) key AI software tool stacks, preferably also with NVIDIA Enterprise AI. You bring experience with LLMs, RAG solutions, and how AI workloads are technically deployed and implemented. You are familiar with terms like vGPU, MIG, NVLink und NIMs. Existing NVDIA certifications are welcome, but not mandatory. We are open in terms of your seniority, from graduate level up to senior professionals and can adjust role responsibilities accordingly.
11. Eager to work with clients. You have previous client-facing experience during your current role, internships, or jobs during your studies).
12. Your love to present and share your knowledge and experience in smaller and in larger groups. You have experience in presenting complex technical solutions in an easy to comprehend way, matching your target audience.
13. Bachelor or Master of Science or degree and Client-oriented and independent working style
14. Strong prioritization and organizational skills, even in complex engagements. Good knowledge of MS Office
15. Motivated and interested in technical sales and the IT industry
16. Fluent German and English, both spoken and written.
