Your tasks

* Your tasks include the preparation, execution, and evaluation of numerical flow simulations (CFD) in the field of hydraulic turbines.
* You support the selection of the meshing strategy, the numerical modeling, and the automation of the post-processing.
* You analyze the turbine characteristics with regard to different operating ranges and compare the numerical results with measurement data obtained from real turbines or in the in-house measurement laboratory.
* You collaborate with experts from simulation, measurement technology, hydraulic design, and strength calculation across different disciplines.
* Your work contributes to supporting the energy transition.

Your profile

* You are an enrolled student (m/f/d) in mechanical engineering or a similar engineering course.
* You have basic knowledge of computational fluid dynamics.
* Knowledge of the software Ansys CFX and a programming language (e.g. Python, Perl or similar) is an advantage.
* You have a good command of written and spoken English, knowledge of German is an advantage.
* You are a team player with the ability to work independently and have a structured and goaloriented way of working.
