About the role
The Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships & Medical Education is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and advancing Stryker’s European Medical Education strategy and external clinical partnerships.
This role combines strategic leadership, people management, and high-level stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will shape the direction of industry engagement strategy, strengthening relationships with key opinion leaders and scientific societies, and ensure strong alignment across global, regional, and divisional teams.
The position requires a strong ability to operate in a complex, matrix environment and to influence senior stakeholders across the organization and externally.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
1. Define and drive the European physician and industry engagement strategy, alongside Educational needs in alignment with global objectives.
2. Translate long-term strategy into clear execution plans and measurable outcomes.
3. Analyze evolving market dynamics, competitive trends, and customer needs to inform decision-making.
4. Actively contribute to the development of mid- and long-term strategic vision.
Strategic Partnerships & KOL Engagement
5. Develop, maintain, and elevate a robust European network of key opinion leaders.
6. Establish and strengthen partnerships with scientific societies, research institutions, and leading clinicians.
7. Ensure KOL engagement supports high-quality, compliant, and impactful education programs.
8. Provide clinical and scientific leadership to support credibility and effective influence.
Medical Education Program Excellence
9. Set direction for the Medical Education program portfolio, including platforms, content, and delivery models.
10. Drive continuous improvement in the design, quality, and effectiveness of education offerings.
11. Define and monitor performance metrics, analyze results, and implement improvement plans.
12. Establish Medical Education communication strategies aligned with global frameworks.
People Leadership
13. Lead, develop, and coach a high-performing Medical Education team.
14. Drive performance through clear priorities, structured processes, and effective workload management.
15. Recruit, develop, and retain talent to support future organizational needs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Governance
16. Foster strong collaboration with Product Marketing, Sales Training, Commercial, and Medical Education stakeholders.
17. Communicate strategy effectively to gain alignment across regional and global teams.
18. Manage budgets, evaluate return on investment, and prioritize future initiatives.
19. Share best practices to support product adoption and improved patient outcomes across Stryker.
Required Qualifications
20. Bachelor’s degree
21. Minimum of 10 years’ professional experience
22. Demonstrated experience managing teams and complex, cross-functional initiatives
23. Proven ability to influence stakeholders in a matrix organization
24. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
25. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation capabilities
26. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
27. MBA or equivalent advanced degree
28. 7+ years of experience in medical devices and/or Medical Education
29. 4+ years of people management experience
30. Experience working across regions within a multinational organization
31. Ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives in parallel and deliver against timelines
