We’re working with a fast-scaling consulting partner that’s winning significant work across FP&A, planning and performance transformation. They’re looking to hire a
Principal Pigment Consultant
to lead complex client engagements, shape solution architecture, and develop delivery teams, while still staying close to the detail with hands-on configuration and build.
As Principal Consultant, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end delivery across multiple engagements or a large programme, acting as a senior lead for both client stakeholders and internal teams.
Responsibilities: Leading client engagements from discovery through design, build, testing and go-live, ensuring successful outcomes and strong client relationships. Owning solution architecture for Pigment (or Anaplan) models and broader planning ecosystems, including integrations, data flows and governance. Hands-on build and delivery leadership including model design, configuration, calculations, security, workflows, reporting and performance tuning where needed. Leading and mentoring teams (consultants and model builders), providing technical oversight, quality control, and coaching. Stakeholder management with senior finance and transformation leaders, translating requirements into an implementable plan and managing trade-offs clearly. Driving best practice across modelling standards, testing discipline, documentation, and deployment approach. Supporting pre-sales where required: shaping delivery approach, contributing to proposals, running workshops, and providing effort estimates.
Requirements: Proven experience delivering enterprise planning solutions in Pigment and/or Anaplan (implementation partner, consultancy, or in-house CoE). Strong understanding of FP&A / planning processes (e.g., budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, sales planning, opex/capex, revenue). Demonstrable experience leading teams and projects, including governance, RAID management, and delivery assurance. Strong ability to design scalable models, including dimensionality, performance optimisation, security approach and model governance. Experience working with data and integrations (ETL/ELT tools, APIs, data hubs/warehouses, standard integration patterns). Excellent communication skills: able to engage credibly with senior stakeholders and guide workshops. Building and configuring models, not just reviewing them. Comfortable getting into the detail to unblock delivery: calculations, mappings, workflows, testing, and troubleshooting. High standards around documentation, testing and model maintainability.
