Frankfurt International School in Oberursel is looking for a cross divisional, qualified, experienced and motivated Instructional Technology Integrator (including 50% ICT Support). The position is available effective 1 August 2026. The successful candidate is an instructional collaborator and technical expert who supports effective technology integration across K-12. They partner with educators to improve learning experiences through digital tools, AI, and hands-on maker activities, while simultaneously advocating for and enabling and supporting the appropriate use of ICT resources within the FIS community. This role also supports school-wide technology goals, executed with consistency, enabling a well-maintained technical infrastructure. Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience: Bachelor´s degree and valid teaching certification preferred. Demonstrated expertise in integrating educational technology to enhance learning. Experience providing client-level technical support and troubleshooting devices. Proficient knowledge of Apple operating systems and educational technology software. Subject area expertise through certifications, badges, or academic qualifications. Strong collaboration, coaching, and communication skills. Commitment to continuous professional learning and a growth mindset. The duties of the position will include but will not be limited to: School Innovation & IT Goals Collaborate with the IT Directors to support the shared instructional vision with the physical technical infrastructure, ensuring school-wide goals are both innovative and technically sustainable. Contribute to the FIS strategic plan by executing technology initiatives that bridge the gap between instructional trends and backend system capabilities. Stay current on emerging educational research and technical troubleshooting trends to maintain a high standard of digital learning across the system. Collaboration and Instructional Support Partner with educators from Early Years (age 3) through Secondary to co-plan and co-teach lessons, ensuring that both digital platforms and/or physical maker-space environments are configured for age-appropriate, student-centered learning. Support a balanced use of technology by helping teachers identify and experiment with new tools, including hands-on maker activities. Serve as the bridge between instructional edtech/STEM needs and IT Operations, providing immediate client-level support for classroom platforms while coordinating with the IT Operations team, when necessary, also supporting initiatives like AI integration and data- informed practices. Comply fully with GDPR and non-disclosure requirements to protect the data privacy of students and staff across the entire FIS community. System Maintenance & Technical Operations Supporting the hardware, such as SMART TV/Boards, iPads, and robotics, required to make these tools accessible to learners. Provide timely, professional technical support for the FIS community, responding to user service requests. Support the maintenance of an accurate inventory database of all instructional equipment and troubleshoot issues across the network to ensure stable access to digital resources. Professional Development & Digital Stewardship Facilitate targeted professional development that builds staff confidence in both pedagogical strategy and technical literacy. Promote and model digital citizenship and media fluency, advocating for the ethical and safe use of technology for students, staff, and families. As part of the Innovation and IT team, foster positive relationships with technical vendors and participate in professional forums to research solutions that improve the school's technical and strategic ecosystem.
