For our Finance team, we are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant (m/f/d) to join our team at Trek in Hartmannsdorf / Germany.
Senior Accountant (m/f/d) Swiss Code of Obligations (CO) Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the full set of financial accounts in accordance with the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO)
2. Take full ownership of monthly and annual financial statements under Swiss GAAP (CO),
3. including all related processes and deliverables
4. Maintain the general ledger, sub-ledgers, and fixed assets accounting Perform account reconciliations, accruals, and provisions
5. Support internal and external audits and liaise with auditors
6. Prepare and review Swiss VAT returns and ensure tax compliance Analyze financial data and prepare management reports
7. Proactively identify improvement opportunities, optimize accounting processes and internal controls, and support digitalization initiatives
Your profile:
8. Completed commercial education with further training in Accounting / Finance (e.g. Swiss Federal Diploma in Finance and Accounting or equivalent)
9. Several years of professional experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role
10. Proven track record in independently managing full financial closings Strong knowledge of the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO); Swiss VAT knowledge is an advantage
11. Confident user of ERP systems
12. Structured, analytical, and independent working style combined with a strong ownership mindset and accountability
13. High level of accuracy, reliability, and sense of responsibility
14. Fluent in German; Business fluent English
