Overview
Our client is a leading global owner-operator within the chemical and advanced materials sector, delivering large-scale industrial and capital investment projects across Europe and internationally.
With a significant and growing project portfolio in Germany, they are now seeking to permanently appoint an experienced dual-qualified Contract Manager to support the successful delivery of major industrial construction projects.
The Role
To support their division in Germany, they are looking to appoint a an experienced Contract Manager to support their ongoing projects in the country. Prior experience working in Germany and, in particular, with German Contract Law is essential. Ideally, you will have worked within the international construction environment and have previous experience with civil infrastructure projects, and must be fluent in German.
Duties will include but not limited to:
Contract administration
Subcontract management
Contract management
Claims
Variation Orders
EOTs
Claims management
Contract drafting and negotiation
Dispute resolution and/or dispute boards
Arbitration preparation
You
As someone with strong experience in Contract Management, you will be a degree-qualified quantity surveyor, engineer, or construction professional. Furthermore, you will have a dual qualification in Construction Law and/or Arbitration. You will know about employer and subcontractor management, contract negotiation and drafting, claims and variation orders, and dispute resolution. Fluency in both spoken and written German is essential.
