Your Job:
1. Contribute to the design, implementation, and documentation of software solutions for the planning and operation of integrated energy systems
2. Contribute to the development and maintenance of simulation environments
3. Further develop of our in-house Apache-based data lakehouse infrastructure
4. Design and implement scalable data pipelines for pre- and post-processing of system topologies, real-time measurements, and simulation results
5. Integrate data engineering workflows with HPC-based simulation environments
6. Optimize and parallelize software solutions for execution on one of the world’s most powerful and energy-efficient supercomputers
7. Supervise vocational trainees in mathematical-technical software development
Your Profile:
8. University degree (Master) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
9. Strong programming skills in Python and SQL; experience with C/C++
10. Experience in data modelling and dimensional modelling
11. Experience with CI/CD workflows for data and software projects
12. Solid Linux knowledge for development and system interaction
13. Experience with Docker and containerization
14. Very good written and spoken English
15. Strong teamwork and communication skills
Furthermore it is of advantage:
16. Knowledge of parallel programming and HPC architectures, including accelerators (, GPUs)
17. Experience in modelling and simulation, ideally in the field of energy systems
18. Experience in developing RESTful APIs
19. Experience with Apache NiFi, Spark, Atlas, or comparable technologies
20. Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Loki, or Promtail
21. Experience in front-end development for dashboards or reporting tools
