Foreign Exchange Trader is a senior position in the Front Office, responsible for executing transactions in the foreign exchange market. The candidate will serve as a central point of contact for our portfolio managers and other key investment decision-makers and play a key role in optimizing trading processes and identifying investment opportunities.
Shape the future with us:
* Executing of transactions in foreign exchange across all products – spot, forward, options, swaps - in line with our best execution and risk management practices
* Close collaboration with portfolio managers, adding value by identifying actionable investment opportunities and best approach for trade implementation
* Management of existing foreign exchange exposures in our systematic and passive overlay strategies
* Conduct in-depth analysis and preparation of transaction cost reports, presentations on market trends and trading activities, proactively supporting the investment process
* Have strong knowledge of products, market structure and technology and demonstrate ownership of projects, identifying opportunities to optimize and improve trading processes
* Ability to leverage technology to improve effectiveness and efficiency, by developing custom solutions using programming languages and data analytics
* Building reliable and active trading relationships and processes with external market participants, including sell/side market makers, vendors, and trading platforms
Your qualifications:
* Dynamic FX Trader with 5+ years of experience at top-tier buy-/sell-side institutions, bringing deep knowledge of foreign exchange market structure and execution strategies
* Strong academic foundation in Economics (or related field), paired with a track record of analytical excellence and high-performance trading
* Skilled in leveraging data analysis, machine learning techniques, and automation tools to enhance trading efficiency and strategy development
* High level of decision-making ability (situational, fast), recognized for a strong risk awareness and the ability to remain calm and objective despite market environment
* Effective communicator and collaborative team player, fluent in German and English, with a professional demeanor and well-balanced sense of humor
