My client who have been developing innovative automation technology in the maritime sector for over 100 years are looking for an experienced Service Technician to take charge of the Service department. Responsibilities: Lead and manage the daily operations of our service department, both professionally and organisationally. Coordinate and support a team of service technicians/engineers and a service assistant. Oversee the commercial processing of service orders, ensuring efficiency and profitability. Occasionally participate in commissioning, inspections, and service assignments for automation systems used in global maritime applications. Support the resolution of customer complaints and claims in a professional and timely manner. Provide expert-level technical support across our full range of automation products to customers and partners. Qualifications: Proven experience in automation technology, preferably in a technical or service leadership role. Background in shipbuilding or maritime applications is a strong advantage. Structured, independent working style with a proactive mindset. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in German and English Experience managing or coordinating teams is desirable. Willingness to travel internationally on occasion.
