We are seeking an experienced Offshore Quality Inspector with a specialization in foundation works to support a major offshore wind project. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all foundation structures—including monopiles, transition pieces, jackets, and suction buckets—meet stringent quality and compliance standards during offshore fabrication and installation.
Duration: 12m contract starting August 2025
Day rate: €710 per day worked, inclusive of travel and accommodation.
Rotation: 14on/14 off
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct detailed quality inspections on offshore foundation components (monopiles, TPs, suction buckets, jackets).
* Ensure adherence to project quality standards, international codes, and client specifications.
* Monitor and support offshore fabrication and installation activities, including audits and QA/QC checks.
* Witness and document inspections and tests (e.g., NDT, dimensional control, welding, coating).
* Collaborate effectively with client representatives, contractors, and third-party certifying authorities.
* Maintain accurate inspection logs and generate detailed daily/weekly quality reports.
* Identify, document, and track non-conformances (NCRs); support investigation and close-out actions.
* Promote and contribute to a proactive safety culture in accordance with HSE guidelines.
Requirements:
Essential:
* Proven offshore experience in QA/QC for wind turbine foundation works.
* In-depth knowledge of relevant international standards (e.g., DNV, ISO 3834, EN 1090).
* Valid GWO certifications: Basic Safety Training (BST/BSST), Working at Height, Manual Handling, First Aid, Sea Survival, Fire Awareness.
* Valid offshore medical certification (e.g., OGUK) and HUET/BOSIET.
* Proficient in welding and NDT techniques: VT, MT, UT, etc.
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
* EU citizenship or valid work permit for Germany.
Desirable:
* Prior experience with offshore wind farms in the North Sea or Baltic Sea.
* Quality management qualifications (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor).
