The Waterway and Shipping Administration is the largest employer in the Federal Ministry of Transport (BMV) business area. Responsibilities
* Development and conceptualization of floating and fixed navigation signs
* Discussion of operational requirements
* Creation of calculations and development of technical solution possibilities
* Creation of technical concepts
* Conducting market analyses
* Checking products and selecting system components
* Developing solution proposals and recommendations to the executing authority
* Creation of technical execution documents for construction execution (Technical Documentation, Hazard Analysis, E-Design)
Fields of Activity
* Optimization and innovation of products in the field
* Market analyses - selection and procurement of test objects
* Planning and configuration of measurements and testing equipment for product testing
* Selection, procurement, project planning, and operation of measurement technology equipment
* Evaluation and evaluation of laboratory and field measurement results
* Summary and recommendation of results to WSV departments
Requirements
1. Completed studies in the field of electrical engineering (FH diploma/Bachelor's degree) or equivalent
2. Professional experience as an engineer (m/w/d)
3. Knowledge and practical experience in project work
4. Knowledge and practical experience in system maintenance and operation of electrical systems and facilities
5. Knowledge of procurement law (e.g., VgV, UVgO, EVB-IT)
6. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote)
7. Secure expression ability in German in word and writing
8. English B2 language skills in word and writing
9. Initiative and high communication and team skills
10. Fast and good comprehension ability and developed potential for analytical and creative thinking
11. Competent planning, organizational, and persuasion abilities
12. High willingness to perform
13. Readiness for further education in areas outside one's field of expertise
14. Readiness for multi-day business trips within the federal territory and adjacent foreign countries
15. Driving license class B (formerly: Class 3), including readiness to operate a company vehicle
