We are seeking a highly qualified Professor of IT and Computer Science to support our academic programs. The ideal candidate will have expertise in modern software engineering principles, databases, networks, cloud computing, IT security, applied computer science, usability engineering, and programming languages like Java, Python, and C++.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses, supervising research projects, and taking responsibility for modules in our Computer Science and Applied Mechatronic Systems study programs.
1. Develop and teach competence-oriented courses in English-language study programs on Bachelor and Master's degree level.
2. Instruct students in acquiring intended competencies and convey course content using didactically suitable methods.
3. Supervise research, bachelor and master thesis projects including student mentoring, partner management, and publication of selected works.
4. Take responsibility for modules in the two mentioned study programs, from lecturer selection and guidance to session planning.
5. Be willing to take up further academic functions, participate in self-administration, and perform other academic, organizational, and administrative tasks.
Applicants should have at least five years of professional experience in Information Technology or Computer Science, with three years conducted outside university. A Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field is required, along with relevant publications and conference contributions.
