The advanced mechatronics research team is responsible to develop proof-of-concepts for new products and services for the organization, leveraging diverse areas of expertise in the field of mechatronics, sensing, control, algorithms, actuators and machine learning for power tools. Drive product and technology innovation by conducting research in controls engineering, state estimation, and systems engineering
Contribute to R&D projects with national and international partners in academia and industry
Influence Hilti's technology roadmap and support the definition and development of future products
~ PhD or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Applied Mathematics/Physics, or related field.
~Proficiency in embedded systems, electronics and prototyping beneficial, experience in machine learning beneficial
~ Strong project management skills as well as excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
~ Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage
