In this role you play a key part in ensuring a professional, transparent, and future-oriented project portfolio that meets the international standards of the Vaillant Group. You create clarity for various stakeholders and enable well‑founded decision‑making. You are responsible for operational portfolio management and the associated portfolio controlling.
* You evaluate initiatives within the framework of demand, prioritization, and roadmap management based on strategic fit, cost-effectiveness, and risk profile; you prioritize according to expected benefits, map dependencies, and develop realistic portfolios
* You ensure professional project portfolio controlling by consolidating and analyzing financial data from various projects and preparing it for business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and actuals reporting
* Your responsibilities include the creation, development, and maintenance of a project portfolio, which you prepare in a clear and structured manner for relevant decision‑making bodies such as portfolio boards or steering committees
* You coordinate resources, budget, and timelines at portfolio level, identify bottlenecks at an early stage, and develop countermeasures (e.g., resource reallocation, adjusting priorities, adding capacities)
* By providing and administering relevant tools, you make a central contribution to the further development of methods, processes, and standards in project portfolio management
* Together with international colleagues from project management, IT, controlling, and program organization, you build trusting relationships and strengthen professional stakeholder management
What makes us successful together
* Qualification: You hold a master’s degree in a business‑related field, providing the professional foundation for effective project portfolio management
* Experience: You have more than seven years of relevant professional experience, ideally in project portfolio management, and are confident in cross‑functional project environments
* Know‑how & Skills: Your strong methodological expertise in project portfolio management and controlling, combined with your proficient use of SAP, Business Warehouse, and project‑related tools, enables precise analysis of complex interdependencies
* Nice to Have: Knowledge in risk or quality management as well as experience in developing project management methods and tools
* Personality: You work in a structured and solution‑oriented way with a strong sense of responsibility, while your clear communication and empathy allow you to thrive in an international environment
* Language Skills: You communicate fluently in English and operate confidently in global teams with diverse cultural backgrounds; German is an advantage
