About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist to join our organization in Luxembourg. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in risk analysis and statistical modelling of complex actuarial data.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct research in risk analysis and statistical modelling of complex actuarial data.
* Plan quality research, manage scientific activity, and supervise the research team in cooperation with the Professor.
* Develop new research projects in the area of risk analysis and statistical modelling.
* Identify, apply for, and manage research funding, as well as allocate project resources.
* Disseminate research findings at international conferences and to the actuarial industry.
Teaching and Supervision
* Teach up to 90 hours per year in the Master of Actuarial Science, developing new courses for the Master.
* Contribute to student assessment activities, including writing and reviewing assignments and questions for course components.
* Supervise master students carrying out practical work and may participate in dissertation supervisory committees.
Requirements
* PhD in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics, or Finance.
* Detailed knowledge of relevant models, techniques, and methods, and able to develop new ones.
* Experience in programming languages such as Python or R.
* Very good written and oral skills in English.
