Purpose of the position:
This is a key role within the Research & Development department, focused on developing and implementing a state‑of‑the‑art specification structure across the Intersnack Group. You will support the harmonisation agenda by establishing standard working procedures (SWPs) to drive best practices, efficiency, and consistency across the value chain — from raw materials to finished products.
Responsibilities
As a Business Process & Specifications Expert, you will:
1. Analyse the portfolio of materials, intermediates, and formulations, and provide structured overviews to support the harmonisation agenda
2. Ensure, together with IT, that specifications and ERP/PLM systems are fit for purpose
3. Develop and manage approval workflows and support teams (Product Development, Quality, Procurement) in adopting new ways of working
4. Support the rollout of a company-wide PLM solution, including User Acceptance Testing, Cutover, Go-Live, and Post-Go-Live activities
5. Assist in training users across Product Development, Quality, and Procurement
6. Ensure accurate and complete data migration from legacy systems into the new PLM solution
7. Drive continuous improvement of the PLM solution and related processes (SWPs)
8. Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
9. Solid experience in FMCG (ideally food industry) and R&D processes
10. Experience working with specification systems and workflow-based databases (e.g., PLM systems such as Infor Optiva is a plus)
11. Strong analytical skills with the ability to simplify complex topics
12. Understanding of processes within the food production environment
13. Results-driven mindset and ability to work with diverse stakeholders
14. Strong communication skills and ability to operate in an international environment
15. Fluency in English
Travel approximately 20%
