We are seeking a highly skilled Certification and Regulation Expert specializing in aviation and unmanned aerial systems (UAS). The ideal candidate will ensure that all drone products and operations comply with German, EU, and US aviation regulations. This role is critical for navigating complex certification processes and supporting the company’s market entry and expansion strategies.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and execute certification roadmaps for drone systems in compliance with EASA, FAA, and national aviation authorities.
* Guide engineering and product teams through regulatory processes for drones and UAVs, ensuring adherence to safety, testing, and quality standards.
* Monitor and interpret emerging drone and UAV regulations across key markets (EU, US, and others).
* Collaborate with legal, business, and technical teams to ensure product readiness for certification and market entry.
* Advise on export controls, military-use restrictions, and cross-border compliance requirements.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and represent the company in relevant industry forums.
Who You Are
* EU citizenship is required.
* Deep knowledge of aviation certification and regulation frameworks (EASA, FAA, LBA, or equivalent).
* Proven track record of managing certification projects in the aerospace or aviation industry.
* Strong understanding of UAV-specific regulations and standards.
* Background in engineering, law, or a related aviation field is highly advantageous.
* Fluent in German and English (German proficiency is mandatory).
* Ability to prioritize tasks and navigate complex regulatory environments independently.
