Our research and teaching activities lie in the field of international economics, with a focus on international trade, global production networks, and multinational enterprises.

You contribute to the research and teaching activities of the Chair of International Economics. You conduct independent research on questions related to international trade, international finance, and/ or international migration, and you teach courses in international economics (four times 45 minutes per week during the teaching period).
To be considered for this position, you must hold a university Master's degree (or equivalent) in economics or a related discipline. Upon starting the position, you must hold a relevant doctoral degree. You have an excellent command of theoretical and/ or empirical methods and conduct independent research in international economics. You are curious, eager to learn, and passionate about research and teaching in international economics. You have a very good command of written and spoken English, excellent communication skills, and you enjoy working in a team.

The successful candidate has focused on international economics in prior research and teaching activities, ideally demonstrated by first peer-reviewed publications and excellent teaching evaluations. Research activities directly related to the focus of the chair are desirable. Strong skills in theoretical modeling, econometric analysis, and/ or computational methods are a plus. A basic command of German is an advantage but not a requirement.
