As a sales specialist in the bioprocess industry, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
In this dynamic position, you will be responsible for conducting business in a defined geographic territory to meet sales targets. Your primary goal is to deliver high-quality products and services that meet or exceed customer expectations.
1. You will act as the main point of contact for pre- and post-sales inquiries, providing technical product configuration guidance in close collaboration with sales, service, and field applications teams.
2. To succeed in this role, you must consistently meet and exceed monthly and annual sales goals. This includes providing accurate sales forecasts and performance updates to management, including activity reports and risk assessments.
3. You will build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships through remote communications, discussing needs, promoting products, and securing orders.
4. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through strategic prospecting and lead qualification.
5. Utilize CRM systems and customer insights to drive repeat business, strengthen customer engagement, and accelerate revenue growth.
6. Cross-functional collaboration with departments such as Sales, Service, and Applications ensures the generation of precise and timely customer quotes.
7. Submit required reports and documentation to supervisors in a timely manner, including time sheets, expense reports, and market feedback.
8. Gather and communicate customer feedback and market intelligence to Product Management and Marketing to support data-driven decisions and future product strategy.
9. Limited travel activities include regional sales meetings, training sessions, or industry events.
10. A degree in Life Sciences is required, along with at least one year of relevant professional experience.
11. Prior laboratory experience with bioreactors in cell culture and/or fermentation is an advantage; knowledge in Cell & Gene Therapy is a plus.
12. You are a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build sustainable relationships both internally and externally.
13. You are result-driven, analytically minded, and comfortable working with data to inform decisions.
14. You enjoy working in a dynamic environment and actively seek to improve processes and outcomes.
15. You are confident presenting technical content in a clear and engaging way.
16. Proficiency in English and German, both written and spoken, is mandatory; additional languages are an asset.
17. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools and experience working with CRM systems such as MS Dynamics are necessary.
