EMEA Head of Operations – MEP Prefabrication | Data Centres
Our client, a rapidly growing leader in MEP prefabrication, is expanding across Europe and is looking for an experienced professional to take on the role of European Projects Director. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in delivering large-scale data centre projects while shaping the future of a thriving business.
With a strong pipeline of projects, particularly in Frankfurt, you’ll be responsible for overseeing multiple developments from start to completion, ensuring operational excellence and innovation throughout the process.
The Role
We’re looking for a driven individual with a strong background in MEP and a track record of successfully delivering data centre projects. If you're currently working as an MEP Lead or Senior Project Manager and are ready to step up into a director-level role, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Project Leadership: Take full ownership of multiple data centre projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest industry standards.
* Operational Strategy: Implement best practices in efficiency, safety, and sustainability to drive project success.
* Budget & Cost Control: Manage financial planning, optimise procurement, and control project costs to maximise efficiency.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary link between clients, contractors, design teams, and senior leadership, ensuring smooth communication and alignment.
* Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all projects meet European construction, health & safety, and environmental regulations.
* Team Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of project managers, engineers, and support staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
* Innovation & Technology: Keep pace with advancements in prefabrication, modular construction, and automation to enhance project delivery.
What We’re Looking For:
* Industry Expertise: 10+ years of experience in MEP project management, data centre construction, or a related field.
* Leadership & Management: Proven ability to lead large teams and deliver complex projects across multiple locations.
* Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Tier III & Tier IV data centre standards, prefabrication processes, and hyperscale infrastructure.
* Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with European construction regulations and industry certifications.
* Strong Communication: Ability to manage client relationships and coordinate across multiple teams.
* Education: Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar discipline (MBA is a plus but not essential).
