Civil Engineer – Sustainability FocusWith CTCS’ strategic push towards a holistic turn-key solution provider including construction, CTCS needs specific know-how and competence in the area of environmentally sustainable building design, construction materials selection and construction itself. Specific knowledge and network relationships will be required in the areas of building certifications (esp. in Europe/Germany), KPI tracking and measurement for the compliance with such certifications and selection of suitable construction partners. Support in the implementation of the CTCS sustainability roadmap and the overarching G+D sustainability requirements will be essential
Tasks:
1. Develop the “Sustainable Construction” business area with a focus on green building design and implementation.
2. Coordinate the planning and designing of industrial and administrative buildings (e.g. Cash Centers) from concept to approval phase with architects, construction firms and technical suppliers to clarify technical requirements and interfaces.
3. Advise internal and external stakeholders on circular construction, material selection, and sustainability certification systems (e.g., DGNB, LEED, BREEAM).
4. Conduct life cycle assessments (LCA) and support the development of sustainable products and infrastructure.
5. Collaborate on company-wide sustainability initiatives, including KPI tracking and Reporting.
6. Development and implementation of training concepts.
7. Support customer consultations, tender responses and proposal development.
Skills:
8. Successfully completed university degree, preferably related to the topic of civil engineering & sustainability
9. Several years of professional experience in sustainable construction or facility planning
10. Strong knowledge of building regulations, HOAI phases, and relevant standards.
11. Very good technical understanding of aspects driving the (environmental) sustainability performance of buildings
12. Very good analytical skills and solid understanding for innovation processes
13. Very good skills in organizing and facilitating meetings and project teams
14. Excellent communication skills across all organizational and hierarchical levels, as well as very good knowledge of German and English
