Job Opportunity: Postdoctoral Researcher in 5G/6G Non-Terrestrial Networks
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced postdoctoral researcher to join our team and contribute to cutting-edge research in 5G/6G non-terrestrial networks.
About the Role:
* Conduct theoretical and experimental research on project-relevant subjects related to 3GPP radio access and core network standards, with a focus on non-terrestrial networks.
* Pursue innovative research ideas and proposals, with a view towards patenting and inclusion in future releases of 3GPP standards.
* Collaborate with researchers and engineers to set up real-world testing environments, using emulators, software-defined radios, drones, and satellites, to validate research outcomes.
* Disseminate results through scientific publications and conferences, and contribute to the development of research proposals for attracting funding.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implement features in MATLAB and/or OpenAirInterface software for computer simulations.
* Perform research on future communications networks topics, including non-terrestrial networks, multicast and broadcast services, UAVs, UAS, and urban air mobility.
* Set up and conduct experiments to validate research or project outcomes.
* Contribute to the supervision of PhD students.
Requirements:
* PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
* Strong background in wireless communication systems, signal processing, and software development.
* Excellent research and analytical skills, with experience in proposal writing and project management.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
