Our client is an international manufacturer of high-quality hydraulic components, tools and equipment for a wide range of industrial applications, including pumps, workshop equipment, workpiece clamping and track systems. The company is growing continuously and is looking for reinforcement for sales in Northern Europe.
Your tasks:
In this role, you will combine technical sales know-how with leadership skills and strategic market development.
* Overall responsibility for sales development in your region
* Active support and expansion of a broad customer portfolio (industries: construction, mechanical engineering, mining, oil & gas, automotive)
* Management, motivation and further development of a small sales team
* Close cooperation with sales partners to maximize market coverage
* Strategic development and expansion of new customer relationships, especially in the DACH region and Scandinavia
* Analyzing market trends and customer needs to further develop the sales strategy
* Representing the company at trade fairs and industry events
* Direct report to the General Manager International at the European HQ (Netherlands)
* Your base is the home office, the travel share is approx. 50%
Your profile:
* Business management training or studies, ideally with additional technical qualifications
* Several years of sales experience in a technical environment, e.g. mechanical engineering or supplier industry for mechanical and plant engineering, ideally hydraulics or bolting technology
* Initial management experience with the ability to effectively lead a small team immediately
* Strong hunter mentality, proven track record in new customer acquisition
* Experience in working with and managing sales partners
* Entrepreneurial thinking and strong communication skills
* Business fluent in German and English, as well as good knowledge of one of the following languages: Polish, Swedish, Norwegian or Danish
* Willingness to travel (approx. 50%, more at the beginning) incl. overnight stays, driving license class B
