The objective of the position Director Multi Project Management (m/f/d) is to take overall ownership of the project and program portfolio and to ensure transparency, structure, and reliability across all ongoing initiatives. You define governance, align priorities, enable informed decision‑making at management level, and ensure that projects are delivered efficiently, predictably, and in line with strategic objective

Main tasks:
Multi‑Project Orchestration
* Maintain a holistic view of the entire project portfolio
* Prioritize initiatives and balance resources across projects
* Identify cross‑project synergies and manage dependencies to reduce systemic risk
Leadership & Team Development
* Lead and develop a team of Team Leads and senior project/program roles
* Act as sparring partner for experienced project managers and technical leads
* Foster a culture of transparency, accountability and ownership
Strategic Leadership & Governance
* Define, implement and continuously improve project and program management processes
* Establish clear interfaces and collaboration models with Engineering, Operations, Sales and Quality
* Develop governance structures, KPIs and reporting standards on program level
Operational Excellence
* Oversee the end‑to‑end execution of all projects across the organization
* Ensure delivery against milestones, budgets, resources and quality targets
* Identify risks, dependencies and bottlenecks early and proactively manage them
Communication & Escalation Management
* Serve as the primary interface to top management for all program‑related matters
* Provide structured reporting and decision proposals
* Act as the final escalation point for critical technical, commercial or organizational challenges
Requirements:
* Proven leadership experience in complex project, program or multi‑project environments
* Strong background in managing technically driven projects or organizations
* Experience in leading senior professionals and multidisciplinary teams
* Excellent understanding of organizational interfaces and dependencies
* Confident, structured and clear communication style
* Ability to make decisions under uncertainty and provide orientation in complex situations
* Fluent in English; German is an advantage
