We are currently partnered with a leading global engineering and consulting firm to support their search for a Business Development Manager to drive commercial growth within their rail division in Germany .
As a key member of the commercial team, you will play a critical role in developing new customer relationships, expanding project pipelines, and identifying market opportunities within the rail industry—including rolling stock, signalling, systems engineering, and infrastructure services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and public sector operators in the rail industry.
* Lead the end-to-end business development process, from prospecting and proposal development to contract negotiation.
* Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships within the rail industry by understanding technical requirements and aligning solutions.
* Collaborate closely with technical and delivery teams to ensure feasibility, pricing accuracy, and successful execution.
* Monitor rail market trends, tender opportunities, and competitive intelligence to strategically position service offerings.
* Represent the business at rail industry events, trade shows, and client meetings across Germany and occasionally internationally.
