The Site Sr. Material Manager is responsible for driving site planning and materials management execution activities, including production scheduling, materials movement (stockroom) & logistics (shipping, receiving, traffic, import/export) within the site.
This includes ensuring the supply chain is aligned to support the execution of the production plan, in addition to coordinating with the central planning organization and central sourcing organization.
The organization is estimated with inventory $39M, with 6 direct/ ~70 indirect reports including Buyers/ Planners, Rotable coordinator, Analysts, Material Handlers, and Logistics & Distribution.
Drive end to end plant planning process
1. Lead the SIOP process at the site level, aligning operations plan with receipts forecasts to optimize operational efficiency, identify constraints impacting execution and drive actions with functional owner to mitigate the risks
2. Responsible for the end-to-end planning process at the plant level, including weekly production planning for APU, SCAS & LRU, re-work and other impacted areas for the next rolling 13 weeks
3. Implement plant SIOP review, weekly planning meeting and daily shofloor execution
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess capacity constraints and adjust the production plan accordingly based on demand changes
5. Build the next 10 days production plan at day/ shift level for each of the areas and, review daily outcomes and re-schedule based on needs
6. Optimize inventory management to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize stockouts
7. Monitor real-time production metrics and collaborate with operational teams to ensure adherence to the planned schedule (daily MPS adherence)
8. Drive initiatives to reduce TAT at AOP by identifying bottlenecks and eliminating non-value-added steps
Warehouse and logistics
9. Responsible for the site logistics and warehouse, develop and implement capacity models for warehouse, incoming, and shipping capacity to ensure optimal utilization;
10. Responsible of the annual Physical Inventory and the daily Cycle Count process.
11. Develop and implement strategies to improve material flow and reduce lead times
12. Create dashboards for the incoming area to monitor and track material availability and capacity
13. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
14. Identify areas for process improvement and implement corrective actions
15. Manage and develop a team of warehouse and logistics professionals.
People:
16. Lead, coach & develop employees within the departmental teams.
17. Manage performance & development of team members including 1:1s & Management Resource Review process.
18. Effectively manage escalations.
19. Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, Economics or other related field
20. 10+ years of experience with demonstrated success in a number of roles across the areas of supply chain management, manufacturing planning, Logistics and Distribution, procurement, supply chain planning and execution
21. Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
22. Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook) and other computer systems
23. Strong data analysis skills desired
24. SAP Knowledge (MM, PP modules as min)
25. Proficiency in writing, reading and speaking German, English
26. Ability to Travel up to 10%

28. Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing complex process and systems change projects.
29. Demonstrated capability to improve and strengthen internal processes as well as the ability to drive Supply Chain management principles collaboratively with Suppliers and Customers.
