Fund Controller Role
The Fund Controller position involves processing the net asset value (NAV) calculation, analyzing and commenting on NAV exceptions, and preparing share class hedging instructions.
Key responsibilities include:
* Process the NAV calculation of in-house and third-party funds according to established processes and procedures.
* Verify the plausibility of the NAV variation (performance versus benchmark, control prices, corporate actions impact).
* Investigate and address NAV exceptions, reconcile cash and portfolio trades, and register trades with transfer agents and depositary banks.
* Maintain deadlines for NAV publications.
* Liaise efficiently with senior controllers, management, and clients in accordance with escalation and communication protocols.
* Ensure adequate share class hedging (prepare instructions, control spot and forward effect).
* Address client requests (within the organization and externally) to guarantee a quality service.
* Contribute to all tasks relating to the lifecycle of funds.
This role requires a university degree in economics, accounting, or finance, and at least two years' experience in fund accounting. Technical skills include knowledge of NAV calculations and production, UCITS and UCIs Funds, fund administration, and financial product valuation. Soft skills include rigor, stress coping ability, analytical and communication skills, and a sense of initiative, motivation, and dynamism. Fluency in French and good command of English are also required.
