In your new role, you will:
1. Drive architecture development of concepts for complex microcontroller IPs with algorithmic focus such as graphics or security, ensuring alignment with customer needs, safety standards, and industry trends.
2. Define the functional and performance characteristics balancing trade-offs between power, performance, area, security, and safety.
3. Oversee the development of scalable, reusable IP architectures to support long-term product roadmaps in the automotive domain.
4. Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, including design, verification, validation, and software teams.
5. Drive functional safety compliance (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity compliance (ISO 21434) by defining and implementing robust mechanisms and processes.
6. Perform advanced feasibility studies, simulations, and concept evaluations to de-risk development challenges.
7. Mentor junior and senior engineers, fostering technical excellence and knowledge sharing within the organization.
8. Represent the company in technical discussions with customers, partners, and industry forums, influencing industry standards and product direction.
9. Monitor emerging trends and technologies in automotive microcontroller design, introducing innovative approaches to maintain a competitive edge.
Your Profile:
As a senior concept engineer, you will concentrate your creativity and knowledge on producing results with real added value.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
* A Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field.
* At least more than 5 years of experience in system architecture, concept engineering, or microcontroller design, with extensive experience in the automotive domain.
* A good understanding of hardware design is a must.
* A deep understanding of microcontroller architectures, including memory hierarchies, clock and power domains, interfaces, and peripherals.
* Proven expertise in functional safety concepts (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity concepts (ISO 21434) and their integration into system design.
* Strong leadership skills with experience driving large, cross-functional projects and mentoring teams.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, with a track record of innovative solutions in system-level design.
* Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing internal and external stakeholders.
