The Position Our IT EDP Data Analytics team is seeking a talented and experienced Data Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, creating, and managing our company's data architecture. This individual will play a key role in developing data strategies, implementing data solutions, and ensuring the overall integrity and security of our data assets for Digital Products delivered to Business. Tasks & responsibilities In your new role you will design and implement an efficient, secure, and scalable data architecture that meets the needs of today's applications. In addition, you will develop data models and database designs that enable you to leverage and manage information. Working closely with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders, you will capture data requirements and implement appropriate solutions. You will regularly coordinate with Data Domain Owners to establish data quality setup, data governance and data sharing policies. Furthermore, you will ensure that all developed solutions meet company-wide standards and compliance requirements. In addition, you will observe current trends and new technologies in data management and actively contribute innovative approaches to your work. You will use your expertise to continuously develop the data strategy and optimize the data landscape in a sustainable manner. The role places a strong emphasis on designing robust data quality architectures, developing scalable data models, and effectively communicating complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Requirements Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering or mathematics or related field. Several years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data Management, including experience in a Data Architect role and various years of professional experience with cloud solutions. Data Architect for at least one large scale modernization / transition project to Cloud (e.g., AWS, Azure) Proficient understanding of data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and enrichment with strong knowledge of AWS services (S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, IAM, etc.), ETL/ELT frameworks, orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow), SQL, NoSQL, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), and BI tools like Power BI or Tableau. Experience with modern data lake and warehouse technologies: Snowflake, dbt, SnapLogic, Apache Iceberg, Apache Parquet, Collibra and knowledge of pharma industry (Commercial data domains and/or GxP processes knowledge) Knowledge of data governance principles: cataloging, lineage, quality, retention, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) including data security best practices in cloud environments. Self-organized architect with a passion for innovation, capable of designing complex data systems and confidently engaging with diverse stakeholders; AWS certification is a plus. Skilled in collaboration, communication, and analytical thinking, with experience in Agile and DevOps environments; fluent in English and open to travel. Ready to contact us?
