Your tasks:
* Develop and implement a standardized process and governance framework for creating test procedures within Traxx Locomotive Engineering.
* Define and maintain templates, workflows, and quality checkpoints to guide the creation and review of test procedures.
* Draft test procedures based on system engineering test specifications.
* Update and refine existing test procedures in response to input from Train Validation Engineers and Test Engineers.
* Ensure all test procedures are aligned with system-level requirements and specifications.
* Verify requirement traceability from train-level specifications to individual test procedures using IBM DOORS.
* Identify and resolve issues such as gaps, incorrect traceability links, or inconsistencies in test specifications.
* Work closely with System Engineering teams to clarify requirements and eliminate ambiguities.
* Contribute to the deployment of standard validation methodologies and tools aimed at enhancing process efficiency and consistency.
* Champion best practices in test documentation and validation processes across the organization.
Your profile:
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineer.
* At least 3 years of professional experience in the railway industry, with a focus on train systems.
* Solid knowledge of IBM DOORS for managing requirements and ensuring traceability.
* Good understanding of industry standards and regulations for rail vehicle validation (e.g., EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129).
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
* Eagerness to learn and operate in a cross-functional and multicultural environment.
* Fluent in both English and German, spoken and written.
* Experience with test management tools is considered an asset.
* Familiarity with configuration management systems is a plus.
* ISTQB or equivalent certification in software testing is advantageous.
* Additional certifications related to safety or quality (e.g., IRIS, ISO 9001) are a plus.
* Willingness to travel occasionally to test locations or engineering centres, if required.
